Hydrocolloids

Seaweed-derived hydrocolloids are carbohydrates  obtained from different species of algae from various regions of the world.

They are used for food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and industrial applications and are valued for their gelling, thickening and stabilizing properties.

All applications are strictly regulated with stringent specifications related to purity. Therefore, all of the hydrocolloids hosted by the Association are high quality products that comply with the requirements of the Codex Alimentarius, European and US regulations and the various Pharmacopoeias.
